Despite alarming statistics and increasing awareness about the negative impact stress, trauma, poverty, and homelessness have on the wellbeing of the African American community, the effective use of mental health services have not increased. Come join Dr. Bree Davis in a discussion about these issues and learn about how the African American Family Studies Program at Pacific Oaks College is working to empower communities and train clinicians to think about healing and wellness for whole person.
