Dr. Cindy Carter, Ph.D.

Dr. Cindy Carter, Ph.D., has served as an educator for over 25 years. Her academic training includes degrees in Liberal Arts, Biology and Chemistry, Educational Psychology, and Clinical Psychology. She carries a Secondary Education Teaching Credential and is licensed as a Registered Nurse.

Prior to assuming the role of President of Pacific Oaks College, Dr. Carter also served as Vice President of Academic Affairs, Chief Academic Officer, Academic Dean, and Academic Coordinator. She has been closely involved in all phases of WASC accreditation processes for the past 12 years.

Dr. Carter’s teaching experiences span elementary, secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels, as well as clinical settings. During the past 15 years, the range of graduate and undergraduate level psychology courses she offered include: Abnormal Psychology, Psychological Assessment; Theoretical Orientations I and II, Clinical Practicum I and II, Group Psychology, Human Sexuality, Human Development, Clinical Practice I, II, and III, and Process of Psychotherapy I, II, and III.
