Bio
Dr. Kaucher, prior to be appointed the Associate Dean of Pacific Oaks College, served as the Campus Director and Academic Coordinator at Cambridge College in Rancho Cucamonga, California and has worked and taught in higher education for over12 years. Before her work in higher education, she worked as an administrator, site supervisor, and teacher in Early Childhood Education and Care for over fifteen years, both private and funded programs.
Dr. Ellie Kaucher has extensive experience researching educational leadership. She has researched and co-authored the NAEYC Code of Ethics supplement for administrators, as well as authoring a number of articles in Leadership and Ethical Decision making including “Educating Immigrant Children in the United States.”
Ellie holds a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership and Management. Her research focused on "Effective Leadership and Ethical Decision Making" and holds two Master's Degrees, one in Human Development with a specialization in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks College and a second in Education with an emphasis in Behavioral Management.
Dr. Kaucher serves on a number of educational boards and committees in her community. She began her term with the California Association for the Education of Young Children (CAEYC), an affiliate of NAEYC, as President elect in July 2011. In addition, she continues to serve with the local affiliate AAEYC, and recently served on the San Bernardino Superintendent of Schools Educational Advisory Board.
Dr. Kaucher regularly provides pre-services, in-services and training for a number of educational institutions, school districts, funded and private pre-K through 12th grade educational sectors. She is also a frequent conference/workshop presenter and speaker nationally and internationally.
