MA candidates may apply, toward this 32-unit degree, 8 units earned through completion of two Institutes (4 Modules) and completion of PITC certification requirements. Pacific Oaks graduate degree credit will be recorded on the student’s transcript as:

PITC Module I. Social-Emotional Growth and Socialization

This graduate program is open to applicants who (a) have a BA degree or (b) are mature learners with at least two years of college meeting Pacific Oaks transfer requirements and 5 years of leadership experience.  Those without a BA apply for admission through the Assessment by Life Experience (ABLE) option.  PITC-certified trainers who already have an MA may apply this credit toward a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership by taking 9 additional Pacific Oaks units.

PITC training Institutes are available regularly in southern and northern California and may be scheduled elsewhere.  Fellowships covering the cost of PITC-based units are available to California residents who meet eligibility requirements.

In summer 2006, institutes will be offered June 20-26 in San Diego and July 23-28 in Baltimore.   In winter 2007, institutes are planned for January in San Diego and February in Berkeley.
