Dear Pacific Oaks Students,

Once again I would like to thank those students that took the time out of their Saturday afternoon to attend our spring 2009 Financial Aid (FA) Information Session. The staff and I certainly appreciate that not all of our valued students could attend in person thus I wanted to provide everyone the link below which is the slideshow presentation:

As it was in the fall 2008 Information Session we discussed who is eligible for FA and how to apply. We shared information about the Federal Work Study program and touched on our scholarship process. Among these topics and others it was the Satisfactory Academic policy (SAP) and the new Interim Add/Drop Policy for Spring 2009 that drew the most student attention. These policies are the King and Queen of policies, if you will when determining proper disbursement of Title IV funding. Together they hold the answer to the question "when will spring funds be disbursed?" Both of these policies are available in the below links and cannot be more recommended for EVERY student to read and become very familiar with:

New topics were introduced during the spring session such as tips on how students can use their award letter as a tool to manage not only their funding but also their registration and an elaboration on those friendly letters from the Business Office.

Again, I thank all of you for reviewing this pertinent FA information either by attending the session or by reading the provided information on this site.
