Full text hardcopy journals available in the library and through interlibrary loan (ILL). Locate sources by using library catalog or WorldCat (OCLC).
Some sources will consist of citations and abstracts. A citation is like the "home address" for an article -- it tells you the name of the article, the journal it was published in, and the date/issue of the journal -- everything you need to track down the full text. An abstract is a paragraph which summarizes the content of the article, and you can use it to help you decide if you want to obtain the full text.
With a full citation, you may request articles through interlibrary loan (ILL). ILL materials usually arrive within one to two weeks, and there is a charge of $1.00 for each request. The easiest way to request material is from within FirstSearch (OCLC). While you are viewing a citation/abstract, simply click on the ILL button , fill in your name, phone number and email address, and click "Submit" -- that's all! When the item arrives from the lending library we'll call you to let you know.
