Always back up your work!

Floppy disks wear out and get lost. Sometimes your files get misplaced. Making a backup copy every time you save your work allows you the chance to quickly recover your work in the event a file gets lost. Of course this works only if you save the main file and the backup file in different places.

Know Your Software!

Knowing most of the features of your software can save you a lot of headaches. Most software comes with automatic features that are designed to help you save time. The problem is that sometimes these features do not save you time, because you must undo what was done. Spending a few minutes becoming familiar with these features and how to turn them off can save you a lot of frustration. That way you can choose how many or few of these features you want to use. Remember! Do not let the software tell you what to do. You tell it what to do!
