Application Process

Pacific Oaks participates in all applicable Federal Financial Aid programs, as well as awarding limited amounts of privately donated funds.  Students are eligible for Federal funds at Pacific Oaks College if they:

1) are U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States;

2) are accepted to or in good academic standing in a degree program. Students must be enrolled at least half-time (defined as 6 units per semester for undergraduate students and 4 units per semester for graduate students) in order to be eligible for aid.

There may be additional requirements depending upon the specific program.

Note: Aid covers regular college classes only. It is not available for Extended Education or Continuing Education classes or for units documented through the ABLE Assessment Process.

The following forms are required:

1. Pacific Oaks Applications for Financial Aid:

    Download the 2008 - 2009 Financial Aid Application here.

The downloadable versions of these documents are provided in a Portable Document Format (PDF).  You will need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader software installed on your computer in order to view an Acrobat document.
If the software is not installed on your system (or if you are not certain that
it is installed), you can download the Adobe Reader software for free.  The instructions on Adobe's website and within the Acrobat software installer should help you with installation.

2. Complete, accurate and signed FAFSA (free application for Federal student aid).

Applicants can now complete the application online at the FAFSA website, and the application will be sent to the College Financial Aid Office.  The Federal school code for Pacific Oaks College is 001255, and this should be entered into step 6 of the FAFSA application in order for the Dept. of Education to then forward the completed application to Pacific Oaks.

3. Federal 1040 tax returns (and W2's upon request).

4. First time borrowers at Pacific Oaks College must complete the online Entrance Exam at Edfund

All applicable forms must be submitted and admission to degree program confirmed before a determination of financial aid awards can be made.  Students should allow 6-8 weeks for processing before notification of award by Pacific Oaks.

If you have trouble downloading any files, please contact the Financial Aid Office
