Pacific Oaks Scholarships
These grants are derived from gifts given by individuals and organizations to PO to financially assist students with college costs. Institutional Scholarships are usually available to students who have applied for financial aid and have demonstrated that they have "financial need".
Many donors are lifelong friends of PO and enjoy hearing directly from the recipients of their gift. All grant recipients are required to write a thank you letter to the donor of their college scholarships. Our institutional scholarships are awarded to students based on need, scholarship availability, and range from $250 - $3,000 per academic year. While there is no supplemental application to process to apply and qualify for these funds, students must first complete their financial aid applications by the aforementioned deadlines. Award recipients also must maintain a minimum of 6 units (undergraduates) and 4 units (graduates) per semester to preserve eligibility for our institutional scholarships.

Other Outside Sources Students are encouraged to investigate outside sources of scholarship assistance in their community. Many civic, fraternal and services organizations such as Elks, Soroptimists, Kiwanis and Rotary clubs provide scholarships, as do churches and private corporations. The Financial Aid Office maintains information about some community resources available to Pacific Oaks students. The Internet and local public libraries are also good places to find scholarship information.
