State Grants

The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) awards Cal Grants on the basis of academic and financial need. Pacific Oaks requires all undergraduate students to apply for a Cal Grant.  You must submit a verified Cal Grant Grade Point Average (GPA) to the California Student Aid Commission.  First time applicants must complete 2006-2007 FAFSA to the processor at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Your 2006-2007 FAFSA and a verified GPA must be submitted on or before the Cal Grant postmark deadline of March 2, 2006.Cal Grant GPA verification forms now available in financial aid office. These funds are automatically renewed for qualifying students.

 1.  Cal Grants are free money-you don't have to pay back.

 2.  Must fill out and submit the FAFSA

 3.  Must file a verified GPA

 4.  Must meet the March 2 deadline

 5.  Must meet financial need requirements to qualify

 6.  Must be a california resident

 7.  Must have 2.0 GPA or better

 8.  Cal Grant is guaranteed if you meet all requirements.

 9.  You absolutely must meet March 2 deadline or no Cal Grant!

10.  Cal Grants are as much as $9,700 or more free money for college!!!

  • Cal Grant A is awarded to needy students and can be used at any approved California College or university.
  • Cal Grant B is awarded to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.  These grants can also be used at any approved California college or university.
