Congratulations to the Class of 2008!

Pacific Oaks College looks forward to welcoming families and friends to the 2008 Commencement Ceremony to be held on Saturday, May 17th at The Pasadena Civic Center.  All graduates will be recognized by name and walk across the stage to be congratulated by President Carolyn Denham and each student's department chair. Sponsors will stand and be acknowledged.

The entire PO community is proud of your accomplishment and look forward to celebrating this memorable occasion with you. Congratulations again!

10:30 a.m. - Rehearsal (Gold Room)
11:30 a.m. - Graduation Brunch (Front Patio)
2:00 p.m. - Commencement Ceremony (Auditorium)

PARTICIPATION  
Students with any outstanding balance owing to the College as of May 4, 2008 will not be allowed to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.  This means that if you owe money to Pacific Oaks, have delinquent loan balances, have overdue library books or fines you will not be allowed to march in the ceremony.   

Each M.A. student must submit the thesis with a completed signature page to the library no later than May 1, 2008 in order to participate in the ceremony.  Students must complete all graduation requirements before a degree can be posted. Participation in the ceremony is not confirmation of the degree earned.

GUESTS
Guests will need tickets to attend the ceremony.  Please return the Guest Ticket Form promptly to ensure that you will receive your tickets in time to distribute them to your guests. Seven (7) tickets will be provided to each graduate.  Additional tickets can be purchased through the Registrar's Office for $5.00 by May 16th until 2:00pm or through the Will Call window of the Civic Auditorium on Saturday, May 17 until 2:00p.m. Guest seating will begin at 1:15 pm.

PARKING INFORMATION  
Underground parking is conveniently located at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.  Overflow parking is two blocks from the auditorium. The cost is $7.00 for all day parking.

SPONSORS  
It is the custom at Pacific Oaks to involve sponsors in the Commencement Ceremony.  A sponsor is a person important to the graduate.  Your sponsors (no more than two), will be recognized during the ceremony as that special individual that helped you reach this milestone in your life.  Pacific Oaks will honor your sponsor(s) with a Certificate of Appreciation on your behalf.
