M.A. Specialization: Art Education

This specialization is designed for teachers who wish to concentrate on the language of art and creativity. The graduate will be equipped to teach the basics of art to children, design and imple­ment culturally diverse developmental curriculum, and transmit the essential spirit of art as a living form. An arts background is required.

Admission Requirements for Specialization:

  • Comprehensive written description of arts background
  • Submission of portfolio
  • Demonstration of an art activity with children
  • Interview with advisor

Acceptance to the specialization is determined by the faculty advisor.

Infants/toddlers Preschool (2-4)

5) Exhibit: HD 604/MA: HD-669 Art Exhibition (1 unit)
