View Sample Theses
While you are working on your thesis, it's a good idea to take a look at some samples of others' work. You may visit the library or more recent theses are available electronically through the library catalog (webOPAC).
To access these, you need to be online and have Adobe Acrobat reader. Alternatively, materials owned by Pacific Oaks Library will be shipped to students free of charge, but the student is responsible for paying to ship the materials back.
To access theses in fulltext through the library catalog (webOPAC), follow these steps:
-
-
Login with username/password (contact library staff if you don't have this)
-
In the search box, type "fulltext"
-
The search results will consist of several theses. To view the full text of any of these...
-
Click on a title to open its full record.
-
The full record has 2 tabs: Record and Copies. At the top of the Record tab you'll see a small, blue icon labelled Linked Media to select.
-
You'll now see a link that looks like lastname.pdf to select.
-
Acrobat should launch, and the full text version of the thesis should open in your browser.
