El Arroyo Yard

Full-Day Childcare for your 2-year-old

Our full-day childcare program is open 12 months a year from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  We meet the complex needs of working families while providing a comfortable and nurturing environment for young children. At Pacific Oaks, we consider childcare to be an extension of the child's home and work toward building collaborative partnerships with parents. The curriculum is identical to our preschool program and includes block building, science investigation, dramatic play, arts and crafts, music, story telling, and active exploration in our developmentally appropriate play yard.  Our participatory approach to caregiving tasks such as eating, napping and clothes changing are incorporated into the daily life of the program.

El Arroyo Yard supports your two-year-old in learning about him/her self and the environment while addressing issues of autonomy and separation.  We provide many opportunities for choice making throughout the day with a variety of open-ended classroom materials.  Children in El Arroyo Yard are encouraged to develop self-help skills as they transition into a home-like group setting.
