Respect, diversity, social justice, and inclusion are core values at Pacific Oaks. Enjoy highlights below from events this year that celebrate the unique voices of our shared community.

Pasadena’s 41st annual Black History Month Parade and Festival is one of the largest in Southern California. On February 18, Pacific Oaks joined the community to honor the achievements and impact of the Black community.

On March 4, Pacific Oaks College welcomed nearly 100 community members to its second annual Black Health and Wellness Fair, which provided health screenings, offered community connections, and showcased local Black-owned businesses.

Pacific Oaks College is proud to be a Hispanic-Serving Institution. On October 14, 2022, Pacific Oaks celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month and honored the impact of our Latinx communities and culture by participating in the Pasadena Latino Heritage Parade and Festival.

On April 9, 2023, Pacific Oaks College’s faculty, staff, and families attended Drag March LA: The March on Santa Monica Blvd., supporting the community in peaceful protest of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and discrimination.

To commemorate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), Pacific Oaks students, faculty, and staff created an ofrenda—or offering—to honor and remember those who have passed.
