T. A. Honor, M.A., M.S., is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Human Development at Pacific Oaks College. Honor has extensive experience in various subjects, including psychology, human development, early childhood education, social-emotional learning, learning sciences, program management, educational management consultancy, and adult learning and leadership. Honor teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses and guides teacher candidates through a TK-12 teacher credentialing and education program. In addition to her seven-year teaching role at Pacific Oaks College, Honor serves as Thesis Chairperson, Committee Member, and Mentor for graduate students, leading thesis-development courses and guiding them through the IRB process to enhance their research capabilities. Honor's professional efforts are dedicated to promoting social justice, diversity, and inclusion, supporting both academic and professional outcomes, and enhancing the overall quality of education.
Honor's academic background is equally impressive. She earned an M.S. in Project Management from the University of Southern California, an M.A. in Infant and Early Childhood Development: Mental Health and Developmental Disorders from Fielding Graduate University, and an M.A. and B.A. in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College. She holds several credentials from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, including permits as a Child Development Teacher and Program Director.
Honor's diverse professional experience and advanced education have also extended her teaching to the Department of Education, the Department of Early Childhood Education, the Department of Cultural and Family Psychology, and the School of Global Leadership and Management at Pacific Oaks College.
