Pasadena Campus

Pacific Oaks at Pasadena

Education Centered on Community

Pasadena is only ten miles from downtown Los Angeles and provides easy access to nearly all that Southern California has to offer—including hundreds of schools, clinics, and nonprofit organizations for volunteering, internship, practicum, and fieldwork experiences. Through established relationships with several organizations throughout California, Pacific Oaks, Pasadena can offer vast networking opportunities for students in our Early Childhood Education, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Organizational Leadership programs.

Due to our centralized location in Southern California, our classrooms exhibit remarkable diversity of cultures and ethnicities, informing a truly global understanding of relevant theories and topics. Students can remain engaged both in and out of the classroom and feel free to share their field experiences in a diverse and dynamic learning environment where everyone is both student and teacher. Here, students have a chance to build successful careers that focus on inclusive approaches to teaching, counseling, community and social services, and entrepreneurship.

Diversity and Culture

Nestled in the scenic San Gabriel Valley, world-class museums, art galleries, and theaters are within walking distance so that you may experience the art and history of various cultures. Our Gold LEED Certified building is a spacious, modern structure, providing a welcoming learning setting for our students while supporting our commitment to environmental consciousness.

Students will find themselves immersed in a thriving educational community that is home to such renowned institutions as Caltech and the Art Center College of Design. Old Pasadena—famous for its blocks of bustling boutiques, quaint cafes, bookshops, and fine dining—is just steps away, while a plethora of entertainment and recreational attractions are within easy reach. A short walk will take you to the famed Rose Bowl, while nature enthusiasts will enjoy opportunities to explore nearby canyons and the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains.
