Institutional Scholarships

The President’s Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate a commitment to Pacific Oaks College’s mission. Scholarship awards will be divided and distributed at the beginning of a recipient’s first two semesters. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and be continuously enrolled during their first two semesters in order to be eligible. During the final semester of the program, students who have maintained satisfactory academic progress and continuous enrollment throughout their course of study will receive a final installment.

The Educator’s Scholarship is awarded to new students in the School of Education, specifically students holding teaching credential(s)* seeking a masters degree, or bachelor’s or masters students seeking a teaching credential. Qualified students will receive $1,500 per semester for the first two semesters. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and be continuously enrolled in their program throughout the first two semesters in order to maintain eligibility. *Master’s degree seeking applicants must provide proof of a teaching license.

The Community Involvement Scholarship is awarded to bachelor's or master’s degree-seeking students who have provided outstanding service to their community. Applicants must submit an 800-1,000 word essay that explains their experience and personal commitment to their community, demonstrating support for Pacific Oaks College’s mission. Essays will be reviewed by a faculty committee. The Community Involvement Scholarship recipients will receive a $2,000 scholarship that will be divided up equally between the first and second semesters of enrollment. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress during their first two semesters in order to be eligible for both distributions.

The Transfer Student Scholarship is awarded to bachelor’s degree seeking students transferring to Pacific Oaks directly from a community college. Transfer Student Scholarship recipients may receive a $1,000 scholarship that will be divided equally between the first and second semesters of enrollment. Each student may receive a maximum of one Transfer Student Scholarship. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and be continuously enrolled in order to be eligible. Please include name of community college currently attending in your application.

The Legacy Scholarship is awarded to students who have an immediate family member (parent, spouse, child, grandparent or sibling) who is either currently enrolled or is a graduate of Pacific Oaks College. Legacy Scholarship recipients receive a $1,000 scholarship divided equally between the first and second semesters of enrollment. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and be continuously enrolled as a full-time student in order to be eligible.

The Alumni Scholarship is awarded to Pacific Oaks College alumni who start a second degree at Pacific Oaks College within two (2) semesters of the date of conferral of your Pacific Oaks College degree, as it appears on the transcript. Alumni Scholarship recipients receive a $2,000 scholarship that will be divided equally between the first and second semesters of enrollment in a Pacific Oaks College master's degree program. Students must remain in good academic standing and be making satisfactory progress toward their degree.

The College Women’s Club of Pasadena has been helping women pursue higher education since 1921 and awarded over $1,300,000 to deserving women at Pasadena-area colleges/universities. Awards range from $2,500 to $5,000.

Who is eligible?

• Undergraduate women currently at Pacific Oaks (Pasadena) who are in at least their second year of studies, enrolled full-time, and will be entering their third year by Fall 2024.
• Graduate students who fulfill their school’s full-time requirements during the award year.
• Scholarship/fellowship funding is contingent on full-time enrollment for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.

Who is eligible?

• Undergraduate women currently at Pacific Oaks (Pasadena) who are in at least their second year of studies, enrolled full-time, and will be entering their third year by Fall 2024.
• Graduate students who fulfill their school’s full-time requirements during the award year.
• Scholarship/fellowship funding is contingent on full-time enrollment for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.
• GPA of 3.0 or above is required and must be maintained.
• Must be a U. S. citizen or permanent resident or DACA recipient.

Unique perspectives, diverse life experiences, and distinctive cultural insights enrich our learning community. The Global Gateway Scholarship represents Pacific Oaks’ commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within our student body. The Global Gateway Scholarship is awarded to full-time international undergraduate and graduate students of exceptional academic merit who meet a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 (or international equivalent) at the time of admission. Eligible students will automatically receive a 20% discount on their tuition each term if they maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 while enrolled at Pacific Oaks College.

The Global Gateway Scholarship is applied to only one program of study at a time and cannot be combined with other institutional scholarships or tuition discounts.

Our learning community is built on the strong partnerships we have formed with institutions around the world. The Global Partners Scholarship further strengthens those bonds. Eligible full-time international undergraduate and graduate students enrolled with or employed by an institution sharing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with our institution may be eligible to receive a 20% discount to their tuition each term if they maintain good academic standing while enrolled with Pacific Oaks College.

The Global Partner Scholarship is applied to only one program of study at a time and cannot be combined with other institutional scholarships or tuition discounts.

An application is not required for this scholarship

The Local Advantage Scholarship simplifies the transfer process for international students already living in the U.S. who hope to transfer to Pacific Oaks College. Eligible full-time international undergraduate and graduate students currently studying at another U.S. institution or who have completed a degree at a U.S. institution may receive a 25% discount each term while enrolled, provided they maintain good academic standing.

The Local Advantage Scholarship is applied to only one program of study at a time and cannot be combined with other institutional scholarships or tuition discounts.
