Biography

Dr. Saiz currently serves as Professor, Director of Research, and faculty advisor at Pacific Oaks College, Ed.D. program, in the department of Early Childhood Education (at Pasadena and online). Dr. Saiz also serves as IRB Co-Chair. Dr. Saiz has served as an Assistant Professor and Adjunct Faculty member, and Research Advisor (since 2016) at The Chicago School, Pepperdine University, Vanguard University, Cerritos College, Scripps College, Golden Gate University, and Saybrook University. Saiz's expertise is in research methods, statistics, and research design. Saiz has taught in a variety of disciplines to include general psychology, organizational psychology, I/O psychology, clinical psychology, business, applied behavioral analysis, education, and counseling psychology. Saiz has researched extensively in the area of personality and leadership, macro/micro cultural values, and cognitive style. Saiz has researched and taught graduate and undergraduate courses in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods designs, to include multivariate design and analysis, specific qualitative approaches, mixed methods, program design and program evaluations. Saiz has written, published, and presented on personal growth, academic achievement, motivation, doctoral student research success, data analysis, interpretation, and presentation, professional growth, energy management, and life-span development. Other notable areas of interest include holistic wellness and healing, self-awareness, reflection, understanding of self (personality), personal and leader authenticity, servant leadership, growth mindset, grit, creativity, self-expression, well-being and fulfillment through martial arts training, personal meaning, and self-transcendence. Saiz enjoys the outdoors, art, music, traveling abroad, and spending time with loved ones.
