Pacific Oaks Celebrates New Hires and Promotions: 2021-2022

New hires and promotions at Pacific Oaks represent a commitment to providing students a high-quality education and preparing them to be culturally intelligent agents of change.

Judy Krause, Ed.D. Named Executive Director, Pacific Oaks Children’s School

We are proud to announce that Dr. Judy Krause, chair of bachelor’s and master’s programs in Early Childhood Education at Pacific Oaks College, was named executive director of Pacific Oaks Children’s School. She accepted this new role after supporting the Children’s School through the challenges of the pandemic.

Along with her new duties as executive director, Dr. Krause also continues her important work at the college, including the development of a doctoral program in Early Childhood Education Leadership. To help support her at the Children’s School, experienced master teacher, Victor Soto, was promoted to the role of associate director.

Victor Soto, M.A. Named Associate Director, Pacific Oaks Children’s School

Pacific Oaks Children’s School celebrates the promotion of Victor Soto, M.A., to the role of associate director. Soto accepted this new leadership role after having served as a master teacher for more than a decade. Soto received his bachelor’s as well as his master’s degree from Pacific Oaks, studying Human Development and Early Childhood Education.

Throughout the first year in his new leadership role at the Children’s School, Soto’s extensive knowledge and years of experience across the field of education have served him well. “I’m in a position where I can share my experience, my knowledge, and my skill set through conversations with children as well as other teachers and parents,” Soto says. “It’s my job to help everyone learn.”

Sandra Hill-Glover, Ed.D., MSW Named Associate Dean of Social Work

Pacific Oaks College welcomed Sandra Hill-Glover, Ed.D., MSW, as associate dean of social work, a new role for our community. Dr. Hill-Glover has been working in the field of social work and education for more than 30 years. During her early years as a social worker, she gained experience working with children, families, and case management, eventually realizing her love for macro social work. Dr. Hill-Glover has directed and developed a number of programs in Georgia and California that serve children in foster care and families in transition.

As associate dean of social work at Pacific Oaks, Dr. Hill-Glover has been inspired by the students. “Our student population in many ways reflects the community in terms of the sense of urgency,” she says. “It’s such a privilege to serve them because of their level of tenacity and determination.”
