Graduate Christopher Franz to speak at commencement

Christopher Franz is the student speaker at Pacific Oak's 59th Commencement ceremonies on May 11.

Franz earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Change from Pacific Oaks, and has become an integral part of the community.

His studies have focused on educational psychology and building successful organizations. Since 2009, he has enhanced the Professional Development department at Glendale Community College and represented the program at meetings and conferences with the California State Chancellor’s office. Working within the Human Resources and Faculty Development offices, he created processes and policies which continue to ensure success throughout the institution.

Franz is an avid traveler who has circled the globe many times. Despite his extraordinary adventures and increasingly busy schedule, he has managed to maintain a 4.0 GPA throughout his tenure. He intends to further his education and continue creating innovative programs that encourage transformative growth in others.

Looking back on his time with Pacific Oaks, Franz is grateful for the support he has received.

“I want to thank my family, teachers, and classmates whose unwavering support and encouragement have allowed me to actualize another important goal.”

We look forward to hearing Franz inspire our graduates with his commencement speech and know that he will carry on the Pacific Oaks purpose with the meaningful work he accomplishes.
