Budget Calculator Estimate
Estimate your full cost of attendance at Pacific Oaks College
Our budget calculator helps you build a complete, personalized estimate of what attending Pacific Oaks College will cost, including both your direct costs (tuition and fees) and the indirect costs you will manage on your own (housing, food, transportation, and more). You can adjust inputs based on your actual living situation, enrollment status, and program to get the most accurate picture possible.
What the budget calculator covers:
- Tuition and required fees based on your program and enrollment
- Housing and food estimates based on your living situation
- Books, supplies, and equipment
- Transportation
- Miscellaneous personal expenses
- An estimate of your financial aid based on your inputs
A few things to keep in mind:
- This calculator provides estimates only. Your actual costs and aid may differ.
- For the most accurate results, have your program, expected enrollment status, and living situation ready before you begin.
- If you have already received a financial aid notification from Pacific Oaks College, use those figures rather than the calculator's estimates for the most precise picture of your net costs.

Net Price Calculator
The Net Price Calculator is a federally mandated tool that gives prospective students a personalized estimate of the net price of attending Pacific Oaks College. That is, what you might actually pay after grants and scholarships are factored in. It is hosted on the U.S. Department of Education's College Affordability and Transparency Center.
Net price is not the same as your total cost of attendance. It is your COA minus any grants and scholarships you are likely to receive, giving you a clearer picture of what you might need to cover through savings, work, or borrowing.
What the Net Price Calculator covers:
- An estimate of your total cost of attendance
- An estimate of grants and scholarships you may be eligible for based on your financial information
- Your estimated net price. That is the amount you would need to cover from other sources
What it doesn't include:
- Loans — these are not factored into net price because they must be repaid
- Work-study — this is earned income, not a price reduction
- Your specific financial aid offer — that is determined after you apply and submit your FAFSA
Before you use it: Have basic income and household information available. The calculator uses this to estimate your likely grant and scholarship eligibility.
Results are estimates only and do not constitute a financial aid offer or a guarantee of funding.

Understanding the Difference: Budget vs. Net Price
These two tools answer different questions, and it helps to understand which one you need:
The Budget Calculator answers: What will everything cost, term by term? It gives you a full picture of your cost of attendance, both what you will pay Pacific Oaks College and what you will spend on living, so you can plan your overall budget.
The Net Price Calculator answers: What might I actually pay out of pocket? It starts with your total costs and subtracts estimated grants and scholarships, leaving you with a sense of what you would need to cover through savings, work, or loans.
Used together, they give you the most complete financial picture possible before you make your enrollment decision.
After You Use the Calculators
Calculator results are a starting point, not a final answer. Here is what to do next:
If you haven't applied yet, the Net Price Calculator estimate can help you decide whether to move forward with an application and what questions to ask our financial aid team.
If you have been admitted and received a financial aid offer, compare your offer to your budget calculator estimate. If there is a gap, our team can help you explore your options, such as scholarships, payment plans, additional loan eligibility, or other resources.
If you are already enrolled and your costs have changed significantly from the standard estimates, either due to a change in living situation, unexpected expenses, or other circumstances, you may be eligible for a Cost of Attendance adjustment. Contact our financial aid office to discuss.

Frequently Asked Questions About These Tools
Are the results guaranteed? No. Both calculators provide estimates based on the information you enter and average institutional data. Actual costs and aid awards may differ. Your official financial aid offer, issued after you apply and submit a FAFSA, is the authoritative source for your aid eligibility.
Do I need to log in or create an account? Neither the budget calculator or the Net Price Calculator, both of which are publicly available, require an account.
Will using these calculators affect my financial aid application? No. Neither calculator submits information to Pacific Oaks College's financial aid office or affects your application in any way.
My calculator results look different from my financial aid offer. Why?
Calculators use averages and estimates. Your actual aid offer is based on your specific FAFSA results, enrollment status, program, and available funds. These may differ from the assumptions built into the calculator. If you have questions about your offer, please contact our financial aid office directly.
